These data describe the time and place of the session and provide some observations on the behavior of the participant. Furthermore, the type of contact (face-to-face or telephone) and the presence of others was recorded, as well as whether any disruptions occurred or the contact had to be broken off.

As the table of items shows, some modifications were made in the course of the longitudinal study. At Time 1, for example, interviewer doubts about the participant's ability to give his / her give consent or practicability of the examinations were recorded in the observation protocol. During the longitudinal study, however, they were documented in the session protocol.
